Latest news: A visit to the Chase Center in San Francisco, plus news from Poly, Epson, Elo, VuWall and more

October 28, 2019 | Volume: 11 | Issue: 20

I had a journalism professor back in college who used to say, “Make me care.” It was supposed to get us to write in a way that would appeal to any audience — and that’s the same way I feel when talking about digital signage. How can companies market new digital signage products to make me care?

A little over a week ago, my colleague and I traveled to San Francisco to check out Chase Center, the brand new home of the Warriors, and tbh Samsung/Chase Center made me care. The sheer number of displays in that place were enough to overwhelm anyone. Like, 15 displays on a single 165,000-pound contraption… are you serious? The story and the rest of the details about the trip and our tour are below.

In other news, Leyard and Planar are taking the 2019 Video #Wallapalooza on the road again (cue Willie Nelson) and they are making stops in Portland, Oregon and Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Oct. 29-30! More information on that here.

And for my final trick! I grant you, reader, a free pass to ISE 2020 just for reading this far! So, scroll to the bottom of this very newsletter for how to snatch your ticket. Or just go to this link and use this code: 250332. We’ll see you in Amsterdam!

Catch you on the flip side, #AVtweeps.
