BenQ Ed Tech Solutions On Display in Partner Booths at ISTE 2018

COSTA MESA, Calif. — June 21, 2018 — BenQ America Corp., the most popular brand of DLP projectors and second-largest projector brand in the world, will display the RM7501K interactive flat panel (IFP) at Camcor’s Booth 2238 and the RP704K IFP in the BalanceBox Booth 1518 at ISTE 2018. Held June 24-27 in Chicago, ISTE 2018 will be the perfect opportunity for educators to see how the IFPs redefine the interactive experience by creating a healthy learning environment for students through BenQ’s innovative Eye-Care technologies and germ-resistant screen coating. As distribution and enterprise partner for Google Jamboard, BenQ also invites ISTE attendees to stop by Google’s Booth 1602 and BenQ partner Onix’ Booth 1897 to test drive Jamboard and the rest of Google’s education solutions.

“As Google’s sole distributor of Jamboard from the U.S. launch to its subsequent European rollout and entry into Asia, BenQ is excited to see the new opportunities Jamboard presents in the education space,” said Penny Su, business unit director, Google Jamboard, for BenQ America Corp. “ISTE provides us the opportunity to join Google for Education as they feature the benefits of this technology in the classroom and its integration with G Suite.”

Drive the Ultimate Google Classroom
The touch-enabled 4K ultra high definition (UHD) Google Jamboard enhances collaboration in the modern digital classroom, taking the whiteboard to the cloud and providing an intelligent suite of tools for educators. Through its integration with Google’s G Suite, Jamboard puts popular Google apps and a whole host of interactive capabilities at users’ fingertips during a “Jam” session. Students can draw, annotate, import and scribble on images and Google Docs, search the web and communicate with classmates via Hangouts, and it’s all saved in the cloud. In addition, students can sketch out plans in real time with collaborators from across the globe via other Jamboards, smartphones or tablets. To more closely connect the entire school and establish a learning environment that’s tailored for effortless communications, Jamboard can be used with other hardware devices from Google, including Google Chromebook. Sold and distributed by BenQ, Google Jamboard creates a truly collaborative learning environment that boosts student creativity and helps bring brilliant ideas to life.

“As schools look to increase engagement in the classroom, BenQ’s intuitive, bright and interactive IFPs transform active learning,” said Bob Wudeck, senior director, business, education and CinePro solutions at BenQ America Corp. “Our RP and RM Series IFPs are the industry’s only budget-friendly displays with tested and certified features that resist and prevent the spread of germs and reduce the harmful effect of blue light, flicker and glare on the eyes.”

Standardize Technology With Health First
Not only is it bad for the eyes, exposure to blue light now may increase the risk of cancer, according to a study published by Environmental Health Perspectives, a peer-reviewed journal published by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. Understanding the acute priority to prevent blue light emission from displays, BenQ underwent and passed TÜV Rheinland’s stringent, display-specific Low Blue Light and flicker-free testing standard for its Eye-Care solution, which is featured in the 75-inch RM7501K 4K UHD IFP being showcased at reseller partner Camcor’s booth, 2238. Eye-Care’s Low Blue Light technology is certified to minimize blue light exposure, while its flicker-free technology is meticulously designed to remove LED backlight flickering for a zero-flicker viewing experience. This effectively reduces eye strain and alleviates discomfort caused by looking at the screen all day.

The 70-inch BenQ RP704K 4K UHD IFP, on display at vendor partner BalanceBox’s Booth 1518, features BenQ’s smart Eye-Care solution, which automatically activates Low Blue Light and flicker-free technologies through an embedded motion sensor. Providing the highest standard in health for technology-driven classrooms, the RP704K’s germ-resistant screen is empowered by a multilayer coating of the non-toxic, enduring nano ionic silver agent that kills most germs accumulating on screen surfaces and prevents cross-infection or epidemic in classrooms. The ionic silver’s antimicrobial feature remains effective even after thorough cleaning or long periods of use. SGS, the world’s leading inspection and verification company, carefully evaluated the screen’s antimicrobial efficacy and found that it can effectively restrain the growth of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.

Create Exciting and Effective Learning
Getting hands-on is one of the best ways to commit curriculum to memory. Both IFPs support multitouch capability, allowing more students to participate in discussions and highly engaging activities at once using a finger or BenQ battery-free pens. The IFPs also come installed with annotation tools for enhanced class participation, including a handwriting recognition feature that instantly converts hand-written text, numbers, forms and drawings into print to make them more legible for students — all without interrupting class flow. Other features include InstaQShare for wireless presentation from a mobile device or laptop, MS Office compatibility, an easy-to-access toolbar, instant plug and play and quick save and share of annotations to allow students to study at their leisure.

Ease IT District-Wide Display Maintenance and Management
For school IT, BenQ’s Multiple Display Administrator (MDA) allows every BenQ IFP to be effortlessly managed. IT administrators will appreciate the remote control of display settings and on/off scheduling. Firmware updates can also be done through BenQ’s Over-the-Air (OTA) update, while Android™ apps can be installed through the cloud. Combined, these features create hassle-free maintenance that effectively lowers TCO and energy consumption.
