Normally when you listen to a podcast, you expect a moderated flow of discussion throughout and the usual format that you’ve come to know. You have a host, guests, and sometimes seven other crew members (OK so we’re the only show of that kind) who like to get technical along with just shooting the breeze. With this one however, you press play and it seems to almost take off with a calculated mind of its own. Just call it a self-driving podcast steered by extremely engaging discussion as well as a good measure of humorous stuff (n’ things) thrown in as well. You do the listening, we’ll handle the rest.

Julian and TJ right from the start bring great insights on the industry and technologies, and of course along with great tech talk and that trademark humor, you get Jeremy’s Tech Take on integrators changing perspective from an AV-centric focus to incorporating integration with an end-user’s IT driven environment in mind,  Corey’s Converge This about software application platforms vs single application “boxes” (and highlights a discussion with TJ at InfoComm) and Chuck’s Power Up which hits home on the AV industry actually having a great advantage when compared to IT, and leveraging the benefits of those advantages in terms of “being the change.” We also talk about starting a gold plated optical everywhere business (and we’ll call it Johnny’s Stuff n Things Inc.).

Stacy’s back! And she brought that future woman of AV Natalie who is celebrating a birthday – listen for it at the end. In fact, there are three possible future women of AV in this podcast (Chuck and Jeremy’s daughters join us as well), and if you’ve been paying close attention lately, they could all provide another WIN for the industry (episode 6…).

Rich delivers those Tier PM Hot Jobs however unfortunately you can’t have any of them yet as he’s applying for all of them. He’ll let you know what’s available after he’s finally accepted one (and passed that CTS exam – party at Christa’s!). And Rich repeat after us – projection.

What more can we say? This one just plain rocks discussion on AV and IT, the industry and much more. Oh and Hope rocks too as she sings, floats, springs eternal and of course always helps us…
