ISE 2025 Day 2 Takeaways with Gary Kayye

Day 2 of ISE 2025 was all about one thing: broadcast production and its growing influence on Pro AV.

Yesterday, I focused on the impact of AI, but today, it became even clearer that the lines between broadcast and Pro AV are blurring faster than ever. Walking the show floor, you can’t miss it—Blackmagic has a massive presence, NDI is everywhere, and even Elgato is making waves beyond live production and into permanent AV installs.

Broadcast Tools Are Becoming Pro AV Standards

For years, broadcast and Pro AV were separate worlds. NAB was where you went for production and streaming, while ISE and InfoComm focused on integration and commercial AV. That division is quickly fading.

When you look around ISE 2025, it’s clear that Pro AV is borrowing more and more from the world of broadcast production and vice versa.

What This Means for the Industry

The shift is happening fast. More manufacturers are designing solutions that can work in both live production and installed AV environments. Technologies that were once exclusive to broadcasters—like video switching, advanced streaming, and real-time graphics—are now becoming staples in corporate, education, and digital signage projects.

It’s safe to say that ISE is no longer just a Pro AV show—it’s a Pro AV, digital signage, and broadcast production show all rolled into one.

Looking Ahead

As we head into Day 3 of ISE 2025, one thing is clear: the future of AV will be shaped by broadcast workflows, networked video, and a growing demand for high-quality content delivery. The lines between live events, digital signage, UCC, and traditional AV installations are disappearing, and that’s going to change how manufacturers, integrators, and end users approach technology moving forward.

I’m excited to see how this trend continues to evolve. It’s not just about the gear anymore; it’s about how all of these solutions come together to create better, more immersive AV experiences.

More insights to come tomorrow. Stay tuned!
