How important is collaboration to your organization? Are you using technology to do it? A column from Mersive’s Christopher Jaynes today says: “Collaboration can leverage everyone’s expertise in open forums, transforms serialized presentation meetings (e.g., PowerPoint) into parallelized problem-solving sessions and encourages employee engagement.” He explains how collaboration can cover blind spots, how answers that come from teams can be more accurate than those that come from individuals and how collaboration can be templated to make your team more efficient.

Dr. Fred Ampel also talks about one situation when you want to be extra careful who you hire — and that’s when you have to hang rigging, and only those professionally certified for such things will do.

Finally, big news from Extron, which has finally entered the AV over IP market with a new system called the NAV Series. Check out rAVe founder Gary Kayye’s take on it.
