The UCC market is set to double in its market value by 2025, according to Global Market Insights. BYOD and mobile devices are responsible for the trend, as you may assume, and the need for upgrading communications networks and infrastructure is being replaced by cloud and hybrid UC solutions.

Our team will be at Enterprise Connect next week in Orlando covering the pivotal product releases and updates for UC. Know of something that I should see while there, send me a note on twitter or shoot me an email — I’d love to hear from you!

With the expected $60 billion in UC in 2025, this is certainly a space to watch in the coming months and years.

COLUMNS

+ The Joy of Change Orders [Lee Distad]

The frequency and incidence of change orders on the project can indeed be minimized in the design and planning stages. And at the same time, the scope of work document that develops during those stages will clearly spell out to the client what is and isn’t covered in the scope of, which will clarify what qualifies as a change order once the project is underway. Everything in your work has a process, and dealing with change orders is no different.

+ Where to Start With Cybersecurity [Scott Tiner]

Securing the equipment on your network is an enormous task — perhaps so enormous that many people can't wrap their head around it, and therefore, simply stick their head in the sand. We know this is not the appropriate approach, but where do we start?
