Visionary announced an expansion of its 5 Series with three new wallplate models. The DuetE5-WP-C wallplate encoder combines USB-C and HDMI inputs into a two-gang form factor. It enables AV-over-IP encoding of both 4K60 4:4:4 video and USB sources from USB-C or HDMI-equipped devices, making it ideal for BYOD environments. The USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode video, USB-over-IP and AES67/Dante audio embedding and de-embedding — all through a single connection — while maintaining interoperability with Visionary’s 5 Series ecosystem.
Building on that functionality, the DuetE5-WP-C-BT adds integrated Bluetooth audio support, allowing users to wirelessly connect mobile devices and stream audio into the AV-over-IP network. This added capability supports hybrid spaces, huddle rooms and conference environments that require both wired and wireless input options.
Rounding out the lineup is the DuetD-5-WP, a wallplate decoder designed for clean, in-wall installations. It features an HDMI output and two USB-C ports, delivering full USB-over-IP support consistent with the capabilities of Visionary’s 5 Series decoders. The DuetD-5-WP is ideal for setups using USB cameras, touch panels and other HID peripherals in soft codec environments.
All three models support AES67 and Dante audio networking, VLAN tagging and standard PoE power. Each includes the core features of Visionary’s 5 Series, including ultra-low latency 4K60 4:4:4 video transmission, independent USB-over-IP routing, a 45-degree Ethernet connector for easy installation and reliable performance.
