Samsung Electronics has introduced Color E-Paper (EMDX), an energy-efficient digital signage solution with wireless and USB-C capabilities. Like other ePaper displays, EMDX consumes no power (0.00W) when displaying static images and uses significantly less energy than LCD digital signage during image transitions.
The lineup includes 13-inch (1,600 × 1,200), 25-inch (3,200 × 1,800), and 32-inch QHD (2,560 × 1,440) indoor displays, along with a 75-inch 5K (5,120 × 2,880) outdoor model. EMDX features a rechargeable 5,000mAh battery, dual USB-C ports for charging and data transfer, 8GB of memory, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support.
For display management, a dedicated mobile app allows users to remotely control displays, schedule wake-up and sleep times, and create content playlists. Samsung VXT (Visual eXperience Transformation) also supports content management, while Tizen Enterprise APIs enable businesses to integrate EMDX with existing management systems.
