Rants and rAVes — Episode 980: Aurora Multimedia Just Introduced the Most Creative Post-COVID-19 AV Product So Far!

Dubbed Tauri, Aurora Multimedia just launched a portable or “mountable” 10″, 15″ or 21″ ‘Temperature-Check Tablet’ that can be used to screen people in the lobby of urgent cares, corporations, schools and hospitality venues. Using an infrared temperature sensor/detector, Tauri provides alerts when a person is running a high temperature within 1 second – from 3-feet away. The system uses an algorithm for detecting and calculating heat signatures and the sensor measures with a tolerance of +/- 0.5 degrees Celsius (+/- 0.9 degrees Fahrenheit).
