Pliant Technologies is now shipping several new products across its wireless intercom lineup, including a miniature in-ear headset, an updated SmartBoom LITE headset, new mounting and power accessories for its CrewCom Remote Transceivers (RTs), and a firmware update for its CrewCom CB2 system.
The new PHS-IEHU in-ear headset includes silicone ear concha locks and earbuds for left or right ear use, and it supports custom ear molds from manufacturers such as Coda Room Audio and Sensaphonics. It features a miniature electret microphone on a flexible boom and is available with multiple connectivity options, including four-pin and five-pin XLR, six-pin mini XLR, and dual 3.5mm for use with MicroCom M and XR systems.
Pliant has also updated its SmartBoom LITE headset, which now includes a field-replaceable cable and redesigned swivel earcup for improved durability and fit. The headset retains its on/off muting via the boom, closed-back on-ear design, and noise-cancelling cardioid microphone.
Two new accessories are available for the CrewCom RTs: the PAC-RTM-SMU Universal Single RT Mounting Bracket, which supports four mounting orientations and multiple thread sizes, and the PBT-VMNT Radio Transceiver Battery Adapter, which allows users to power an RT with a standard V-mount battery for up to eight hours.
Version 1.2 of the CrewCom CB2 system is also available, introducing Dual Listen mode. This allows individual users to listen to both A and B channels simultaneously on their CRP-12 radio packs, with independent volume control. CB2 is available in 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz frequency bands and supports full-duplex communication for small to mid-sized applications.
Finally, Pliant has launched CrewWare 2.0, a browser-based software tool for CrewCom system configuration, device control, and live monitoring. The new version includes multi-platform support (Mac and PC), multi-client access, and a redesigned interface aimed at simplifying setup and control.
