PK Sound has expanded its partnership with Montana-based Moonlight Productions with the addition of new T8 robotic line source elements and T18 intelligent subwoofers to Moonlight’s inventory.
Moonlight Productions, a full-service live event company serving the Northwestern United States, has worked with PK Sound technology for years. The latest investment includes eight T8 compact line array modules, four T18 subwoofers and six Tx14 intelligent point source speakers, all powered by PK’s Multi-Axis Robotics platform.
“PK Sound’s variable robotic coverage control remains an impressive and highly beneficial technology for our work,” said Greg Ostrander, co-founder of Moonlight Productions. “Our rigging time decreases significantly when flying the arrays, and the ease of adjusting vertical and horizontal dispersion angles in real time is absolutely key to the diverse list of applications and venues we handle.”
The new equipment adds to Moonlight’s existing fleet of PK Sound systems, including the medium-format T10 robotic line arrays, G218 subwoofers and legacy products from the VX, CX and K Series. The purchase was facilitated through ACT Entertainment, PK Sound’s exclusive North American distributor.
Headquartered in Bozeman, Moonlight Productions provides sound, lighting and staging solutions for concerts, festivals, corporate events and other live environments.
“We’ve enjoyed the ongoing progression of PK Sound’s technology and attention to small details,” said Spencer Rygg, co-founder of Moonlight Productions. “The acoustic performance continually puts a smile on our faces and those of our audience and clients.”
Darryl Ross, product specialist at ACT Entertainment and PK Sound, said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to raising the bar for live event production.
“Moonlight represents the ideal partner for ACT and PK, leading in the next generation of live sound,” Ross said.
