Lutron Electronics Introduces Palladiom Wire-Free Shading System

Lutron Electronics Palladiom Wire Free Shading SystemLutron Electronics announced the launch of the Palladiom Wire-Free Shading System, an updated wire-free shade with a minimal profile. Lutron first introduced the Palladiom shade aesthetic in 2017 as a wired solution in Lutron’s automated shading portfolio.

Updated design features include the ability to install the shade at any time during a project’s lifecycle as there is no pre-wiring needed. The Palladiom Wire-Free Shading System runs on Active Energy Optimization, Lutron’s patent-pending battery management architecture designed to optimize the power density in traditional alkaline batteries to extend battery life. The system uses no more than six D-cell batteries and maintains a battery life of three to five years.

The solution’s minimal profile is designed to match decor, occupies less than four inches of vertical space and covers windows up to 12 feet wide by 12 feet tall. Shade brackets are offered in seven materials and were selected to coordinate with Palladiom wired shade hardware, keypads and thermostats. This shade also offers the Palladiom Bottom Rail, a streamlined hembar style designed to align with the shape of the bracket. The bottom rail is available in matching finishes.

Additional Features of the Palladiom Wire-Free Shading System include:

The Palladiom Wire-Free Shading System will be available to quote and order in late Fall 2021. Lutron has developed installation training, product presentations and videos, a portable demonstration tool, fabric, finish and hembar samples that will also be available this fall.
