Lightware Visual Engineering announced the Taurus TPN and Gemini GVN products; AV-over-IP for mission-critical installs. The Lightware Taurus TPN is a device for large meeting rooms, boardrooms and conference settings that includes both USB-C and SDVoE (10G AV-over-IP) technology for HDMI 2.0 4K60 4:4:4 matrix switching over 10G Ethernet networks, with a range of up to 100 meters. Its USB 2.0 matrix switching layer supports multiple devices, providing users with automated and manual switching options.

For larger and more complex AV installations, the Lightware Gemini GVN is an IP-based matrix switching solution, operating on a 1G Ethernet network. The GEMINI GVN claims low power consumption (~10W), reducing energy costs and environmental impact, while being able to handle 4K60 4:4:4. Equipped with Lightware’s Advanced EDID Management system, the Gemini GVN ensures that the decoders are capable of scaling HDMI 2.0 video signals up to a maximum resolution of 4K60 either on CAT (up to 100 meters) or on fibre optics (up to 10 kms) with HDR, HDR+, and Dolby Vision support. Built for mission-critical environments such as control rooms, broadcast centers and high-end corporate use cases.

Features for both include the provision of dual Ethernet interfaces, 4K HDR support and management through Lightware’s Lightware Device Controller.
