Here are some of the changes you need to know about

It won’t be the same ISE in 2025: the ISE team is promising the most dynamic and engaging show yet, with a host of new initiatives and features.

So let’s see what we know so far.

First, there will be least 20% more show floor as ISE continues to grow. We’ll have three ISE entrances, as they will open Fira de Barcelona’s North Access to facilitate faster access to Halls 4-8 and the Audio Demo Rooms. ISE is also adding a new hall, Hall 8.1 — accessed via the new (and conveniently located) North Access point.

Look for seven dedicated Tech Zones, including Audio, AV Broadcast, Digital Signage & DOOH, Lighting & Staging, Multi-Technology, Residential & Smart Building and Unified Communications & Education Technology. Nothing new here but good to keep in mind as business interests for integration companies tend to go wider, add new business units.

Last year, ISE drew 73,891 unique attendees and they predict a further increase this year. That makes the ISE theme of CONNECTION RESTORED most relevant. We’re guessing ISE might reach more than 80,000 (and maybe a high of 85,000.)

The only drawback of increased attendance is more expensive hotel rooms. (My room doubled in price this year.)
There will be a new approach for content: You can book ISE Tracks which are deeper insights into the megatrends — including AI, Audio, Cybersecurity, Retail, Sustainability and more. From Tuesday to Thursday, you can take part in Track sessions on a specific topic. On the registration website, search for your preferred Track. Buy your preferred Track via a Day Pass and attend any Track session on the same day (or buy a Three-Day Pass and attend any Track on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).

ISE joins the trend to offer a “start-up” park with a “Pitching Stage” so new-to-market companies can participate without the burden of a big stand. In the heart of Congress Square, Innovation Park will be an opportunity for emerging businesses to present groundbreaking ideas and forge meaningful connections. The dedicated Pitching Stage, curated by the venture capital experts at Plug & Play, Innovation Park will host pitch sessions across all four days of the show.

There will be a more aggressive Tech Tour program (you can find info on the ISE website). And an expanded conference program. There’s a name change as the six paid conferences produced by AVIXA, CEDIA and ISE are now all labelled “Summits.”

Lots of stages around ISE will provide free content, but the paid conferences are curated and dedicated to specific industry segments.
