Cobalt Digital Showcases ARIA and Hybrid Solutions at NAB NY

Cobalt Digital

Cobalt Digital will bring a broad range of signal processing, routing and multiviewer products to NAB Show New York 2025, headlined by its ARIA series of audio monitoring and routing solutions. The company will also present a new hybrid satellite transmission approach and demonstrate its UltraBlue, WAVE and SAPPHIRE product families at Booth #607.

The ARIA family, which recently earned awards at IBC, includes the ARIA AUD-MON audio monitors—compact rackmount units designed for applications where space is limited. Available with either horizontal (AUD-MON-H) or vertical (AUD-MON-V) control layouts, the monitors feature an intuitive touchscreen interface with eight individual volume controls, a live video thumbnail, and SDI output for visual feedback. Inputs include ST 2110, dual 12G-SDI or MADI, AES, balanced analog, and dual SFP fiber connections. Each unit incorporates redundant power supplies, a Class-D amplifier and web-based remote control for flexible operation.

Cobalt’s ARIA OG-AUD-DANTE cards extend the series for embed, de-embed, routing and mixing applications within the openGear platform. The Dante-enabled cards allow simultaneous routing between SDI, Dante, AES and MADI, with built-in frame syncs and redundant hot-swappable power.

Also on display will be the software-based UltraBlue MV-SW Multiviewer, designed for both compressed and uncompressed IP and SDI sources. It supports customizable mosaic layouts, rotation and resizing of PIPs, audio monitoring, and flexible output routing, and can drive multiple HDMI displays in either landscape or portrait orientations.

Cobalt will showcase additional solutions including its WAVE series of routers—available as stand-alone units or openGear cards—and SAPPHIRE BBG mini converters. The converters provide low-latency IP conversion, 10G/25G Ethernet support and asynchronous audio mixing in compact, quiet enclosures suited for demanding broadcast workflows.

In addition, Cobalt will demonstrate a new hybrid satellite and internet delivery model developed around its PACIFIC compression products. The system leverages Reliable Internet Stream Transport (RIST) to combine satellite delivery for primary transmission with internet-based recovery, offering a reliable content distribution solution that mitigates challenges from C-Band spectrum reallocation. The approach aligns with the Video Services Forum Technical Recommendation TR-06-4 Part 7.

Cobalt Digital designs and manufactures IP and 12G/6G/3G/HD/SD conversion, routing, and multiviewer products for production and broadcast environments. More information is available at cobaltdigital.com.
