THIS IS A PROMOTED POST
Audio is no longer an afterthought in AV installs — and for that, we’re all grateful. As much as I’d like to say everyone just came to their senses one day, the real trend driving audio’s rise is our obsession with immersive experiences. What used to feel futuristic is now an expectation. We want immersion everywhere: our restaurants, our gyms, our hotel lobbies, even our stadiums. And when we talk about immersion, sound is a huge part of the equation.
Bose Professional is a brand we know, love and have trusted for decades. So with a name like that behind them, it makes sense that the company would step confidently into this immersive trend. Walk with me through a few installations, and you’ll see how Bose Professional proves that everyday spaces become extraordinary when the tech — and the sound — are just right.
Fogo de Chão
Let’s start with dining. Fogo de Chão is an international Brazilian restaurant brand with locations across the U.S. Each one is a little different, designed to match the vibe of its city. That variety made it tricky to standardize audio across the chain.
Bose Professional’s DesignMax series of loudspeakers and the ControlSpace ESP-880A processor solved that problem, handling different acoustics across dining rooms, bars, and lounges while allowing precise tailoring in each zone. The result? A consistent, enriched atmosphere that’s “heard not seen” — no matter which city you’re dining in.

Breakwater Villas, Lake Como
From dining rooms to lakefront terraces, audio sets the tone for hospitality, too. Breakwater Villas on Italy’s Lake Como are already breathtaking — accommodations built for guests who expect a certain level of luxury.
Bose Professional delivered everything from soft ambient music to performance-grade sound, all personalized by area. Whether it’s quiet relaxation by the water or an evening gathering indoors, the system ensures the audio matches the moment. Here, sound doesn’t just complement luxury — it’s part of it.

Gold’s Gym Venice Beach
From luxury to motivation — music also drives energy in fitness spaces. Gold’s Gym Venice Beach, the “Mecca of Bodybuilding,” needed a modern upgrade without shutting down one of the busiest gyms in the world.
Bose Professional brought in the EdgeMax series, ceiling-mounted speakers with the punch of surface mounts, paired with custom enclosures that worked within the gym’s industrial ceilings. By designing the system so sound led members from the front instead of blasting from behind, the company created a workout vibe that felt as motivating as it did natural.
Outdoors, AMU speakers carried the same energy to the iconic green wall, with careful volume control to respect the residential neighborhood. And with a cloud-based control system, integrators could fine-tune or troubleshoot remotely.
Stadium of Light
If gyms are about personal energy, stadiums are about collective energy. In the UK, football is no joke. Sunderland A.F.C.’s Stadium of Light is a pillar of that concept. In any stadium, but particularly this one, sound is central to the fan experience. Bose Professional had their work cut out for them here — replacing a legacy 27-year-old system with upgrades that include coverage and immersion.
Each stand in the stadium came with its own set of quirks — each one was architecturally a little bit different. With the Bose Professional Modeler software, the integrator was able to “mix and match the right components to get both high-level performance and the coverage [they] needed.”
The stadium also utilized the ArenaMatch line array loudspeaker system, speakers that were able to tackle the tricky corners and large area of each stand. The result? An amazing atmosphere that fans commented on from the jump — where everyone could hear everything.
Bose Professional Experience Center
Finally, for the ultimate listening experience, we have Bose Professional’s Experience Center. The company added this to its global headquarters right outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Equal parts demo facility, engineering lab and customer showcase — the center is meant to immerse customers in the full Bose Professional portfolio. Everything here is demo-ready — allowing customers to actually see and hear how products will work in their spaces.
These demo areas include a floating ceiling grid for in-ceiling and pendant speakers, a wall of surface-mount loudspeakers, and a truss with large-format products like ShowMatch and ArenaMatch.
But with this many audio products in one room, it has to be designed properly. Bose Professional installed more than 8,000 square feet of acoustic treatment — anchored by a five-inch-thick cellulose spray ceiling to provide low-frequency absorption down to 50 Hz.
And, of course, there is a lighting system that guides guests through the experience, and infrastructure-wise, the system is driven by more than 70,000 watts of power.

As you can see, an experience can mean a lot of different things in a lot of different spaces. From performance-level audio for a guest in a luxury villa to ensuring every fan hears every call in a stadium, to creating the right vibe in a legendary gym, immersion changes the game no matter the setting. Bose Professional has proven that sound isn’t just part of the environment — it is the environment.
