“Redefining screen management, processing, and show control for live events, our Event Master product range was quickly embraced by the industry since the introduction of our flagship E2 system in December 2014. The new Jr models enable us to tap into additional market segments and to better serve video professionals with a wider range of event tools, from the most challenging setups to simple events,” comments Chris Colpaert, VP Image Processing at Barco. “The Jr models allow smaller companies to benefit from our renowned technology, advanced features, and 4K performance at an attractive price point. Moreover, they always have the opportunity to upgrade to a full-blown E2 or S3-4K system at any time. This way their Event Master system can grow with their shows.”
Due to its modular design, the Event Master family excels in versatility and flexibility. That’s why video professionals can easily upgrade their E2 Jr to a full E2 and the S3-4K Jr to the full S3-4K system according to their needs. All they have to do is simply purchase and install the additional cards into their system. The Event Master series cards are common across the entire product range.
“As early adopters of Encore and E2, we have enjoyed the high performance, scalability and modularity of the Event Master technology platform,” comments Stephen Gray, Chief Operating Officer for Creative Technology. “We are excited to see Barco expand this versatile product line and offer even more options for our customers.”
Offering 16 inputs, 8 outputs, and 8 mixers, the E2 Jr features the same 4 RU form factor as its bigger E2 brother. The S3-4K Jr comes with 8 inputs, 4 outputs, and 2 mixers in the same 3 RU form factor as its bigger S3-4K brother. Just like the E2 and S3-4K, the Jr models are controlled from the same Event Master Toolset, a cross-platform GUI that provides an intuitive step-by-step approach to system configuration. Whether running on a Mac or Windows PC, the Event Master Toolset makes preset programming and system management effortless. The E2 Jr and S3-4K Jr are also compatible with the compact EC-50 and large EC-200 event controllers.
