Updated: Barco Again Instructs Bailiffs to Remove Product from ISE Show Floor for Patent Infringement, This Time from Kindermann
Update: The Klick & Show was shown at ISE 2018 on Kindermann’s stand. A new story is here.
Today, on the opening day of ISE, Barco instructed bailiffs to approach the booth of Kindermann and collect evidence of its Klick & Show wireless presentation system present at the show. Barco will now use this evidence for patent infringement lawsuits against Kindermann in the Netherlands, Germany and any other jurisdiction where Kindermann commercializes its Klick & Show wireless presentation system. The bailiffs have also collected evidence of other wireless presentation systems exhibited at ISE.
In April 2012, Barco launched ClickShare, a wireless presentation and collaboration system allows any meeting participant to share content on the central meeting room screen with the use of ClickShare buttons. Barco says it has shipped more than 350,000 units worldwide.
At last year’s ISE show, Barco had bailiffs come in the first day and seize examples of the MyTurn wireless presentation system from KanexPro for use as evidence in a patent infringement lawsuit against that company. The lawsuit was later settled, with KanexPro ceasing sale of the products in the U.S. and Europe.
For now, Kindermann’s Klick & Show is here. Barco ClickShare is here.
