A lot to look forward to in this newsletter, #AVtweeps! First of all, Sara Abrons offers her thoughts about ISE 2023 from across the pond. She worked the show from home as the head titler for all the product videos we shoot on the show floor. This way, she picks up on different things than Gary and I do, and I always look forward to seeing what she notices. Interested in learning about her favorite product? You’ll have to give it a read!

Our latest Ask Dr. Ann column answers how to build a collaborative space for people of different ages. We work in a time where there can be up to five generations in any given office. Is it possible to build something that works for them all?

+ ISE 2023 From Across the Pond [Sara Abrons]

Since I didn’t go to the show, I also didn’t really discuss the buzz on the show floor with anyone there or formulate opinions based on what other people thought or on what I heard in press conferences and events. Every insight I’ll talk about here is based exclusively on what was said in the videos recorded by the rAVe team. Here’s what I noticed.

+ Ask Dr. Ann: How Do I Create a Collaborative Space for People of Different Ages? [Dr. S. Ann Earon]

There is no difference in what should be included in collaborative spaces based on age. The important fact is to gather input from those who will be actually using the collaborative spaces and ensure all technologies exist to meet needs.

+ The Rise of BYOD [rAVe Team]

The term’s been everywhere lately: BYOD, the acronym meaning Bring Your Own Device. From the preponderance of smartphone business apps to the need for laptops and tablets to travel with their users (especially in hybrid work situations), the demand for BYOD solutions has never been greater.
