Futuresource Consulting published a pre-ISE 2019 show report for what is thought to be at the forefront at ISE. You guessed it — digital signage is on the list. Not just digital signage in and of itself, however, but rather the convergence of technologies associated with a great digital signage product or installation. I’d encourage you to read it, it helped me connect some dots before I hit the show floor to look for the best products next week.

Speaking of convergence, who plays 2048? Thank god it’s only boxes that are converging and not molecules, atoms, particles or whatever it is that can make small things go big boom. That’d be a disaster.

+ ISE 2019 Simplifies Show with Six Tech Zones — You NEED to Read This Before Going [Gary Kayye]

There are 15 halls at ISE 2019 in Amsterdam 5-8 February and show management has worked year after year to try to find a way to help visitors, well, visit. It’s LITERALLY impossible to go to the show and stay all four days and see the entire show floor. But for those of you lucky enough to be going to Amsterdam, ISE has divided the 15 halls into six tech zones.

I just received an official notice from Christie Digital, today, that they were ending production of the famed Christie MicroTiles as of February 1st.
