Ten Years Strong: Yealink and Microsoft’s Shared Journey in Smarter Collaboration
THIS IS A PROMOTED POST

If you have any type of meeting these days, you’re — of course — familiar with Microsoft Teams as one of the most popular meeting platforms on the market. And when it comes to the hardware that makes those Teams meetings happen, many prefer using the brands they know and trust — brands with a legacy.
This year marks the 10-year anniversary of Microsoft and Yealink’s collaboration. I don’t think any of us could have predicted that this is what meetings would look like today, but Yealink and Microsoft Teams positioned themselves early for success. From being the first Teams Phone vendor to one of the first manufacturers to embrace MDEP (Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform), the partnership has only grown stronger.
In order for a partnership like Yealink and Microsoft’s to stay this strong after this long, it needs to be built on a couple of things: innovation and a shared vision for how people will work in the future. What began with evolving Yealink’s SIP phones into Microsoft Teams phones has expanded into everything from meeting room boards to intelligent cameras — including the Yealink MeetingBar A30 and MVC S90 Teams Room solution. Yealink was also the first vendor to bring Microsoft Teams’ IntelliFrame feature to market, shaping a new kind of meeting experience.
Ilya Bukshteyn, corporate vice president, Microsoft Teams calling, devices and premium experiences at Microsoft, said the partnership has been a journey that’s brought out the best in both brands.
“Today we are living through an amazing time where not only are we continuing the journey of flexible work, but we’re seeing AI on top of that really touch every aspect of how we work together,” he said.
This is especially apparent in Yealink’s involvement as an MDEP partner. MDEP is Microsoft’s initiative to maintain a consistent Android platform across all Teams devices, making products easier to deploy, manage and use together. Yealink was one of the first manufacturers to embrace it wholeheartedly.
“MDEP enables us to innovate safer and offer more consistent user experiences across our Teams-certified devices,” said Dawson Cai, VP of Product at Yealink.
While evolving to meet Microsoft’s ecosystem requirements, Yealink has also refined its products to deliver the best meeting room experience possible — whether someone joins from home or the office. Beyond IntelliFrame, Yealink’s Teams-certified devices include AI-driven capabilities like real-time translation, noise suppression and voice recognition. These are no longer “nice to have” extras; they’re becoming staples in today’s collaboration spaces.
With AI rapidly transforming workspaces, Yealink is focused on delivering practical results — not just future promises. In 2025 alone, Yealink launched a number of new AI devices that are Microsoft Teams-certified designed for spaces ranging from small huddle rooms to large conference areas. These devices integrate next-generation capabilities like multi-stream video, speaker tracking, and real-time noise suppression.
A standout in this lineup is the new MVC S98 system, which brings advanced AI-powered framing and enhanced admin insights to Teams Rooms — offering a smarter, more streamlined collaboration experience.
So, what’s next? Bukshteyn says we should expect Yealink and Microsoft’s partnership to continue expanding beyond the meeting room and into the rest of the office.
“We share a vision for an AI-powered workplace with seamless communication and collaboration,” said Bukshteyn. “Together, we’re working on very exciting projects that will bring AI with devices to every possible space and give our customers the best experiences and the most administrator insight into what’s happening around their workplace.”
Albert Kooiman, senior director, Microsoft Partner, adds: “After 10 years, we are really leading the way together in the transformation of how we are communicating. We are now entering into the next era — the next 10 years.”
Dawson Cai, VP of Product at Yealink, echoes the sentiment: “At Yealink, we believe the future workspace will be a seamless blend of intelligence, simplicity, and inclusivity. Together with Microsoft, we’re committed to creating devices that not only keep up with work — but elevate it.”
If the past decade is any indication, that next era will keep changing not only your meeting room, but your entire workplace experience.
