Xthings Pushes Smart Access Vision With New ULTRALOQ Locks at CES 2026

Xthings unveiled new smart lock products and a broader access strategy at CES 2026, positioning proximity sensing, advanced biometrics and standards-based interoperability as the next phase of residential access control.
The company said it is moving beyond conventional “smart locks” toward what it calls Smart Access, an approach designed to make entry more automatic and less dependent on apps, PINs or manual interaction. The strategy combines proximity detection, biometric identity and compatibility across major smart home ecosystems.
“Keyless entry shouldn’t feel like a workflow,” said Raj Sundar, senior director of product management at Xthings. “The next era of smart access is invisible: your credentials, your proximity, and your biometric identity working together securely, so your home responds naturally to you.”
At the center of the announcement were two new ULTRALOQ products. The ULTRALOQ Latch 7 Pro, expected to be available in the first quarter of 2026, is a latch-style smart lock designed to meet BHMA and ANSI requirements and support professional installation. Xthings said the lock is built around interoperability, with planned support for Aliro digital key standards, Matter over Thread connectivity and long-range Z-Wave on the Z-Wave 800 Series platform.
According to the company, the combination is intended to allow the lock to operate across multiple smart home platforms while maintaining local-first performance, extended wireless range and improved battery efficiency.
Xthings also introduced the ULTRALOQ Bolt Sense, slated for availability in the second quarter of 2026. The deadbolt is designed for touch-free entry and uses a combination of 3D facial recognition and palm vein authentication, a biometric method that reads sub-surface vein patterns. The company said the dual-biometric approach is intended to be more reliable than fingerprints in everyday conditions, such as wet or dry hands or hands-free arrivals.
Bolt Sense also incorporates active approach sensing and infrared-based low-light performance, designed to function from complete darkness to bright daylight. The lock includes built-in Wi-Fi and planned Matter support to integrate with existing smart home ecosystems.
In addition to the new products, Xthings confirmed that the ULTRALOQ Bolt Mission UWB deadbolt, first shown at CES 2025, is now available. The lock uses ultra-wideband technology to enable hands-free unlocking while reducing the risk of unintended activation.
At CES 2026, the company is also previewing future ULTRALOQ products based on the Z-Wave 800 Series platform and expanded Matter support, signaling continued investment in standards-based connectivity.
Xthings is exhibiting the ULTRALOQ lineup at CES 2026 in the Venetian Expo, booth 52317.
