The new Xspot products from Prime Industrial Design lets integrators find the pre-wire termination points after sheet-rock has been hung. The company says you won’t need wire toners and stud finders and, in fact, it works without any wiring at all. Installers can run 1-inch conduit and mount an Xspot at each termination point before sheet-rocking. You can then skip the step of going back to the project after the sheet-rockers have finished in order to place plugs or wall plates over wire holes. The Xspot system then enables installers to quickly locate termination points through the wallboard to access wiring.
