The Fallas is the official festivity of Valencia, which is celebrated from the 15th to the 19th of March. This festivity has become an important tourist attraction, since they are catalogued as a Festival of international tourist interest.

Besides of the name of the festivity, “fallas” is also the name used to designate the thousand monuments which are rised in Valencia city as well as in every town of the province.  The “fallas” consist of a figure or central composition of several feet high, surrounded by numerous figures of papier-mâché, supported by a wooden frame. They include signs written in Valencian explaining the meaning of each set, always with a critical and satirical sense.

One of the most important activities of this week is the “mascletà”, which is celebrated from the 1st to the 19th of March, when the fallas are burned and the festivity ends. A “mascletà” is a pyrotechnic fire which forms a very loud and rhythmic composition. Megafonía Torres, responsible for the audio installation of this event, chose the loudspeakers WPL 5A by WORK Pro, which were installed at different points of the Plaza del Ayuntamiento of Valencia and also in other areas of the city of Valencia where there are various activities.

The installation consists of 8 WPL 5A speakers placed on the balcony of the Valencia City Hall along with two stages SP MAX 3600. In the area of fire, separated by the metal fencing that indicates the area in which the mascletà is installed and which is restricted access only for pyrotechnic professionals and their teams, there are a total of 16 WPL 5A loudspeakers and 4 stages SP MAX 2800.
