What’s Happening at ISC West 2023
The International Security Conference and Exposition (ISC West) is the largest trade show for security in North America; it will be take place March 28-31, in Las Vegas. The show, organized by RX, is set to feature industry-leading manufacturers with new products and new trends, and AV and security integration professionals shouldn’t miss out.
Mary Beth Shaughnessy, ISC Security Event vice president at RX, said the show will allow attendees to network, learn from the SIA Education@ISC program and explore the latest technologies and trends. “The role we play in fostering impactful conversations that influence the industry’s future is both inspiring and humbling,” she said.
ISC West will be a jam-packed show with speakers, networking events, classes, receptions, panel discussions and other opportunities to learn from like-minded professionals.
Shaughnessy said ISC West is elevating the New Products and Solutions area this year. “We wanted to create a look that would encompass the success of our professionals with their state-of-the-art innovations.”
Expected Trends at ISC West
Trade shows are so important for trend spotting, especially when they are on as large a scale as ISC West. This year will be no different. “Attendees can expect programming centered around system integrators, law enforcement and public safety, security specifiers and much more,” said Shaughnessy.
Gina Sansivero, vice president of marketing and corporate communications at AtlasIED, says AtlasIED is thrilled to be exhibiting at the 2023 show and believes the company will be a trend-leader on the floor. She predicts a focus on partnerships, interoperability, life safety and the convergence of AV and IT. Sansivero noticed several of these trends while exhibiting at ISE 2023 in Barcelona and believes they will continue at ISC West.
She said she thinks the show will highlight convergence of security, intersecting physical and information security, and creating strategic solutions to security problems.
Some experts like Preston Stevenson, senior technology solutions manager for Bosch Security and Safety Systems, said they expect to see more audio incorporated into security monitoring systems, mass notification systems and alarm systems.
What to See on the Show Floor
Bosch will be attending the show and demonstrating its SIP-based IP horn loudspeakers. Bosch’s Stevenson said,“We have always focused on the public address mass notification market and we are now taking that to the IP speaker portfolio.”
“This is an opportunity to see demonstrations of how all the different Bosch products work together in real life situations,” added Anne Inserno, PR and media manager at Bosch Security and Safety Systems.
AtlasIED will be showcasing a mass communication system that includes its IP X family of IP endpoints and multiple company partnerships. According to the company, IPX Series IP endpoints are designed to live on an existing VoIP network, leveraging existing infrastructure to deliver clear and concise audible and visual announcements to specific zones or areas.
“Ultimately this is our target audience, security integrators and security and users who are really interested in learning more about life safety specifically,” Sansivero stated.
Snap One will also attend and feature its Episode products — including Episode Radiance, an outdoor audio and lighting system, Episode Lynk, an audio casting interface, and the Episode Mini AV Receiver — along with many other products.
Show attendees will also be able to see leading products, services and solutions at the Security Industry Association (SIA) New Products and Solutions (NPS) Awards. New products and solutions are reviewed by a panel of more than 30 independent judges with extensive industry experience, and entrants compete for awards in 36 categories — as well as the Best New Product and Judges’ Choice awards.
“The SIA NPS Awards are an exciting part of ISC West each year, and we will continue to elevate the show experience for the awards, including the entries display area on the show floor and the awards ceremony on The Bridge stage,” said Shaughnessy. “ISC West continues to be the top platform for introducing new security offerings into the market, and we look forward to hosting the SIA NPS Awards at ISC West again in March 2023.”
ISC West will have over 650 exhibitors so be sure to check out the show floor for the latest AV and security integration products. Visitors can register for the show here and find rAVe [PUBS] coverage of the show here.
