DSE 2024 was a platform for companies to spotlight their latest innovations. Zach Molin, technical director at LED Studio, emphasized the VISTA Series, a breakthrough in fine-pitch outdoor rental LED technology. “The VISTA Series combines sustainability with superior image quality, offering ultra-high refresh rates and energy-saving features,” he said. Other highlights from LED Studio included the V-Poster, VIVID Connect, and Proteus, products designed for versatility and efficiency.

Christina Gandhi, product and marketing manager at Navori, highlighted the StiX 3800 AI-powered signage player, which features AI-enhanced audience analytics and eco-aware viewer detection. “These innovations empower businesses to engage their audiences more effectively,” Gandhi said. Meanwhile, Dave Olson, COO of HD Distributing, presented the SBC .7MM COB dvLED product, and Jason Ault, COO of Coffman Media, focused on the value of partnerships in delivering impactful signage solutions.

Collaboration

The partnership between DSE and LDI added an extra layer of anticipation for many exhibitors. “Digital signage and live events have always gone hand in hand,” Molin said. “This collaboration broadens the pool of knowledge and technology.” Networking opportunities were also a major draw. Zach Todd, marketing communications coordinator at SNA Displays, was excited to connect with partners and clients. “We’re looking forward to exciting projects like those featured in this year’s DIZZIE Awards,” he said.

Recurring Trends

AI was a recurring theme at DSE this year. Jay Zimmerman, key account director at Zutek, highlighted its role in shaping the industry. “AI is transforming installations and efficiency,” Zimmerman said. Other exhibitors, like Navori and nsign.tv, emphasized AI’s potential for personalization and data-driven decision-making.Sustainability also took center stage. LED Studio’s VISTA Series, for example, uses MIP Flip Chip Common Cathode technology to reduce energy consumption by 30%.

Retail media networks were also a key trend, as Bill Evans, CEO of BlueZoo Inc., noted. “Retailers use digital signage to inform customers and promote products, calculating ad revenue based on audience measurement,” Evans explained. BlueZoo’s analytics tools play a critical role in this ecosystem. Tighter-pitch LED displays, transparent video technology, and advancements in content management systems are some honorable mentions in terms of trends this year.
