Vizrt Launches AI-Powered Advances for Speed and Accuracy in Media Management

Vizrt has released Viz One 8.1, an update to its media asset management system that adds new AI-driven tools designed to improve logging accuracy, accelerate search and streamline content workflows. The release integrates DeepVA, a sovereign AI platform from aiconix, to automate key stages of media management for broadcasters and content creators facing increasing content demands.

Broadcasters continue to manage growing volumes of raw footage, and manual logging and archive research can slow production timelines. Vizrt says the DeepVA integration brings automated visual recognition that identifies faces, objects and scenes, allowing users to surface relevant material in seconds. The system also generates metadata automatically, replacing manual processes while still allowing optional quality review.

According to Vizrt, early results show up to a 50 percent increase in logging accuracy, 10 times faster logging workflows and five times quicker search and discovery. Users can also train custom models to recognize domain-specific elements that may not appear in standard recognition libraries.

“Content creators need AI that works for their specific needs, not a one-size-fits-all solution,” said Esther Arroyo, CMO at aiconix. “DeepVA’s ability to train custom models and generate structured, machine-readable metadata ensures Viz One customers can optimize their workflows and deliver more relevant, localized content to their audiences.”

Viz One 8.1 continues to run on a containerized architecture designed for on-premises, cloud or hybrid deployments. DeepVA’s AI services operate within each Viz One environment, which the companies say allows AI processing without sending media outside the user’s infrastructure.

Together, Vizrt and aiconix position the update as a practical implementation of AI rather than a wholesale workflow overhaul. Vizrt says the improvements are intended to reduce hours of manual tagging, speed content discovery and help teams manage expanding multi-platform publishing requirements.

“Viz One 8.1 is the next step in our long-term vision to accelerate efficiencies,” said Jochen Bergdolt, head of MAM at Vizrt. “By combining Viz One’s proven reliability with intelligent automation, we’re giving customers the tools to work smarter today – and build stronger media operations for tomorrow.”
