New Vivitek HEP Series Includes 14K to 16K Lumens From Dual-Laser 4K DLP Engine
Vivitek has introduced the D8000Z Series, a new lineup of DLP HEP large-venue laser projectors. The series includes three dual-laser 4K+ resolution models: the DU8053Z (14,000 lumens), DU8055Z (16,000 lumens) and DK8155Z (15,000 lumens).
The HEP DMD Migration in the D8000Z Series features what Vivitek calls Higher Contrast Capability, achieved through increased pixel size and a tilt angle adjustment from 12 to 14.5 degrees. According to the company, these enhancements improve direct light performance, color gamut and contrast ratio. The projectors use a dual-laser diode design (blue and red) and incorporate a DLP chip, phosphor wheel, color wheel and high contrast ratio. Users can adjust image settings with Smart CCA + Color Manager and a dynamic contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1.
For flexible installation, the D8000Z Series supports 360-degree rotation, portrait mode and projection on ceilings, walls, floors or angled surfaces. A geometric correction function enables precise image adjustments using a grid. The projectors also include powered horizontal and vertical lens shift, along with Lens Positioning Memory to recall user-defined settings.
The series is designed with energy efficiency and sustainability in mind, featuring No Signal Power Off and Low Power Mode to help reduce energy consumption. The projectors comply with the WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU) for end-of-life recycling and hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications. Additionally, IPX6 dust protection enhances long-term durability.
