Visionary’s 5 Series Powers Immersive No7 Beauty Company Launch

Visionary’s 5 Series AV-over-IP platform played a key role in the annual product launch for No7 Beauty Company, the United Kingdom’s leading skincare brand owned by Boots. The live event, produced by Insight Presentation Systems, featured expansive wall-to-wall projections and a thrust stage that immersed attendees in a dynamic visual environment.
Insight Presentation Systems, a U.K.-based AV integrator with more than 30 years of experience, managed design, production and execution for the event. The company has supported Boots and No7 Beauty Company for more than seven years, with each launch increasing in scale and complexity.
“We’ve been producing events for Boots for over seven years,” said Mathew Cook, technical director for Insight Presentation Systems. “No7 Beauty Company’s annual launch has become a highlight of our calendar, and every year the scope expands. This year’s configuration was the most ambitious yet.”
The production marked Insight’s largest use of Visionary technology to date, shifting from a traditional SDI workflow to a fully IP-based system. “Almost overnight, we shifted nearly the entire video system to Visionary,” said Cook. “This became the largest live event project we’ve ever done with Visionary by a significant margin.”
The setup incorporated 20 Visionary 5 Series endpoints supported by NETGEAR switches, connecting eight high-resolution screens surrounding the stage. “The network loop-through meant we didn’t have to run multiple network cables to the truss for projector control,” said project manager Jacques Batchelor. “That made the install smoother and saved us time on-site.”
Despite the scale of the deployment, latency remained minimal. “It was, in some ways, a baptism of fire,” Batchelor said. “We decided to just go for it and see how it performed. Fortunately, our prior experience gave us confidence that it would do what we needed.”
When technical challenges arose, Visionary’s support team quickly responded. “We had senior-level technical support within hours,” said Cook. “Chuck Larson joined a call despite the time difference. He not only fixed our immediate issue but wanted to understand our real-world use case to help shape future product development. The speed and level of response were impressive.”
Following the successful event, Insight Presentation Systems plans to expand its use of Visionary’s 5 Series across multiple upcoming projects. “The 5 Series delivered the performance, flexibility and low-latency operation this high-profile launch required,” Cook said. “It’s now part of our toolkit for the future.”
Visionary’s 5 Series endpoints provide 4K60 4:4:4 video quality, USB-C I/O for soft codec integration and isochronous USB-over-IP for webcam extension, offering reliable performance for live production, corporate and entertainment environments.
