Virtually Unknown Chord Company Launches HDMI Matrix

The Chord Company is supplying its first-ever electronic component in the form of an HDMI Switching Matrix.

The specs claim that it’s got a bandwidth of 2.25 Gbps, it’s compatible with every HDMI source and display from 480i through 1080p and that it can handle any refresh rate up to 60Hz (so NOT 120Hz). The Chord Company HDMI Switching Matrix features three rear mounted HDMI inputs and one “mini HDMI” input on the front.  All four inputs can be separately routed (matrixed) to one of two HDMI outputs (both on the rear of the switcher).  The input and output configuration can be selected either by controls on the front of the unit or via the supplied remote IR control (no IP or RS 232 control).
