Viewsonic Announces ViewBoard 52 Series Android-Based Collaboration Board
The ViewBoard 52 Series from Viewsonic is a 65”, 75” and 86” Android-based collaboration board on a cart that’s designed for classrooms. Integrated with a sound bar, it has front-facing USB-C ports to connect computers, tablets or phones. It also places functional keys and I/O ports in a direct line of sight. And, the ViewBoard 52 Series sound bar not only integrates speakers and microphones but also features easy-to-access USB-C, HDMI and USB input ports and a switch. The sound bar has two 15-watt front-facing speakers and a 15W subwoofer as well as an eight-microphone array with voice detection and noise cancellation.
The GUI features side tool bars on both edges of the screen for recall of shortcut menus. With a long press on the screen, teachers can initiate the On-Screen Display (OSD) menu.
ViewBoard Cast delivers the ability to share screens from their BYOD devices through myViewBoard Display, a browser-based wireless presentation tool, without downloading any apps. Viewsonic also says that myViewBoard Manager offers efficient remote management of multiple displays.
It operates on Android 9.0 and is compatible with Windows, Mac, Chrome and Linux with full-touch input functionality for all connected BYOD devices.
