User-Changeable Color Wheels, Changeable Bayonet Lenses Make for Unusually Versatile NEC Install Pro
NEC brought a new projector to both CeBIT and NSCA tradeshows this month. The NP4000 has more versatility than most for the price point. This 5000-lumen DLP lets installers choose between a user-changeable four or six segment color wheel, so you can select which is best if your customer is displaying presentations versus video. It also features five changeable bayonet-style lenses for projection of 0.8 to 8.3:1.
Also, it has motorized lens shift of up to 10% horizontally and 50% vertically for placement anywhere from 2.6 feet to 283 feet from the screen. Focus and zoom are also motorized.
The NP4000 has a dual lamp configuration so one or both can be used at a time and, of course, the two lamps add to reliability. It comes with RJ45 and LAN connections.
Other specs are XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and 2000:1 contrast ratio. MSRP is $5,999.
