The launch will be supported with fully-interactive product demonstrations in URC booth #5529 and manufacturer training sessions at CEDIA 2017, September 7-9 in San Diego CA. Additionally, URC will host national United States dealer training featuring hands-on programming and third party integration.

Total Control 2.0 is a comprehensive upgrade to URC’s flagship automation and control system. This second-generation system elevates Total Control with a next-generation graphic user interface, amazing customization and quick programming – plus an attractive new tabletop touchscreen controller and in-wall touchscreen keypads. Total Control is sold only to URC Direct Dealers for the custom installation channel.

Total Control 2.0 is a premium, personalized solution. The family of Total Control 2.0 user interfaces can be programmed with an extensive selection of custom backgrounds, room images and icons. Programmers can upload images from the large URC library, the users’ personal library or photographs taken with a smart device or camera.

“URC dealers and homeowners are amazed when they see their Total Control touchscreens and remotes completely personalized with photos of their home, family, vacations and favorite sports teams,” said Cole.

The robust Total Control system also incorporates a variety of advanced features such as In-App Launching, Remote User Access and Offsite Programming. Additionally, Favorite Channels provides homeowners with quick access to their favorite TV programs with a touch of their URC user interface. Users can also preview current program information before they change the channel.

The foundation of Total Control is a family of next –generation user interfaces. This includes a 7” tabletop touchscreen controller (TDC-7100), 5” and 7” in-wall touchscreens (TKP-5600, TKP-7600), plus premium handheld remotes, keypads and mobile apps. Additionally, Total Control integrates with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for intelligent voice control.

“While control systems CAN be controlled with a smartphone or tablet, we believe that the dedicated URC tabletop touchscreen controller should be the centerpiece of a whole-house automation system,” said Chang K. Park, URC Founder and CEO.
