Ultra-High Brightness Models for Sony’s XGA 3LCD Range
Sony adds what they call “ultra-high brightness” 
projectors to their XGA 3LCD range, designed for fixed installation applications such as boardrooms, show rooms, auditoriums and concert halls.
The XGA resolution VPL-FX500L model delivers a 7000 lumen spec, the VPL-FX30 provides 4200 ANSI lumens (also XGA) and both are equipped with 1.6x standard zoom lens.
The VPL-FX500L’s Twin Lamp System provides a second lamp built-in for automatic back up and the two lamps are used alternatively so expected lamp life totals up to approximately 8000 hours. Depending on the lens used, the VPL-FX500L can shift images approximately vertically +/-96% and horizontally +/-64%, from their original position – an impressive spec, actually.
