Two 1Gig Ethernet 4K Wall Plate Extenders from MuxLab Are AV-over-IP
Two new brushed metal wall plate enclosures from MuxLab are IP-based extenders that support HDMI 2.0b formats and 4K@60Hz resolutions. The wall plates can be configured and controlled remotely from any tablet, laptop or phone when combined with MuxLab’s ProDigital Network Controller (model 500811) and the new MuxControl App for Android and iOS.
MuxLab’s HDMI/VGA/USB over IP PoE Wall Plate Transmitter, UHD-4K (model 500777-TX) is a 1Gig Ethernet transmitter enclosed in a two-gang wall plate and connects via HDMI, VGA and USB ports. When integrators pair it with an IP-based distribution system in which all connected equipment links through a local Ethernet network via a 1Gig Ethernet Switch, users can access all AV sources from all connected displays and other devices such as smart boards. Equipment can also be connected locally from up to 330 ft. (100m) using one CAT5e/6 cable. Users can switch between sources manually, automatically or remotely. HDMI 2.0 resolutions are supported up to 4K (3840×2160) @30Hz (4:4:4) or 4K@60Hz (4:2:0); VGA resolutions up to 1920×1200@60Hz come with two-channel audio.
