TouchSystems Launches 32” Multi-Touch Display

touchsystems-1112TouchSystems this week introduced a new 32” display, the InnovaTouch32, which features ten touch points (projected capacitive, a touch technology usually found in the smartphone market) and integrated Windows 8 compatibility. The transitioning of projected capacitive to larger displays means that people interact with the displays in the same manner that they use their smartphones and tablets. The InnovaTouch32 touch screen also features a bezel-free design, much like an iPhone 5, and that means it can be placed into custom installations, such as kiosks or wall enclosures and be totally flush with the wall.

With a native resolution of 1920×1080 and a brightness spec of 315 cd/m2, the InnovaTouch32 has a viewing angle of 178 degrees vertical and 178 degrees horizontal. It includes DVI-D, VGA and USB inputs for content, uses only 65 watts of power and weighs 50 pounds. We’ve also seen this particular model mounted on a table-top, so it has vertical, horizontal and flat mounting capabilities while maintaining 10 touch points.
