Toshiba Announces XGA LCD Projector/Document Camera
Toshiba’s new TLP-XC2500U projector includes a document camera as well as an LCD projector specified at 2500 ANSI lumens, XGA 1024 x 768 resolution, and 400:1 contrast ratio. It’s equipped with a specialized anti-theft device with a removable palm-sized control panel that uses a 4-digit self-assigned password. When the control panel is removed, the projector is no longer operable unless the 4-digit password is entered on the remote control.
The TLP-XC2500U’s integrated document camera uses CMOS (complementary metal oxide semiconductor) with 3-mega pixel resolution. The user extends the camera from the projector, then they can position it almost anywhere. It has 16X digital zoom and a built-in LED light. The unit is priced at $1,539.
