Theory Professional Launches PLC Series Loudspeaker Controllers Powered by Powersoft
Theory Professional has introduced the PLC Series of amplified loudspeaker controllers. The lineup includes two 8-channel and two 4-channel models, all built on Powersoft’s patented Class-D amplification, SmartRail energy management, power factor correction and advanced DSP architecture. The new PLC Series is engineered for demanding professional, large-venue and live sound applications.
Powersoft technology is known for its reliability, energy efficiency and audio transparency, thanks to ultra-low-noise converters, linear phase FIR filters and Active Damping Control. The combination of high-performance amplification, integrated DS and PoE enables precise sound control and exceptional reproduction in a compact 1RU format.
Each PLC model includes native Dante and AES67 audio networking, all-channel power sharing and easy-swap USB key amplifier restore functionality. The addition of proprietary Theory loudspeaker presets ensures optimal performance in both fixed and portable environments.

- PLC-4K8: 8 channels × 500W per channel
- PLC-8K8: 8 channels × 1,000W per channel
- PLC-9K4: 4 channels × 2,250W per channel
- PLC-16K4: 4 channels × 4,000W per channel
