Barco Residential celebrated its one-year anniversary at CEDIA Expo 2015 with a beer party — and with a 4K demo that was the best on the show floor (yes, it was better than Sony’s). And it wasn’t just because they showed a clip from Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens!

Barco Residential is taking aim at the super-high-end of the market with its line of home cinema products. But, they also see projection being used in other places in the home — specifically the home office. The company’s concept is catching on as residential contractors are looking for a differentiator to just doing home theater and whole house audio systems. Barco is banking that its high-end reputation for products and technology as well as its success putting projectors into thousands of movie theaters all over the world — and it seems to be paying off as the booth was packed when I stopped by.
