It’s a daunting task to make your first post to a blog. Because it’s such a historical post. (Some would say that it’s “an historical” post. My apologies, but it’s A historical. I know this because I used to be a high school English teacher. So, prove me wrong. I dare you.)

Anyhow. The first post on a blog goes down in blog history as the first post on that blog. Yes, it seems like such a simple fact. However, you don’t want to disappoint with your first post.

Well, I’d like my first post to be me, introducing myself all nice-like, to the rAVe community. Let this be the digital extension of my hand to yours. Hi, I’m Molly. Nice to meet you. (Now, the digital extension of your hand to me would be a comment left on this post introducing yourself… just saying. Don’t leave me hanging. That’s just not nice. And we are in the south. Or, at least I am. So, I’m all about the southern hospitality.)

Moving on.

Here (in the form of a list) are a few things you need to know about Molly Eileen Buckley – the newest member of the rAVe [publications] team.

1. I’m a rambler. Not a gambler. A rambler. The creative side of my brain likes to use words. Lots of words. I write how I speak – some would call it “stream of consciousness” – I like to call it “Diet Coke fueled excitement”

2. I like Diet Coke. I prefer fountain Diet Cokes over bottled Diet Cokes, and bottled Diet Cokes over canned Diet Cokes. There is a taste difference between the three. I dare you to challenge me on this.

3. I love Mexican Food. Primarily burritos. But Mexican Food in general. I am a beast at making Mexican Food dishes at home. Mexican lasagna, beef tacos, enchiladas, arroz con pollo, you name it, I make it.

4. I love my dog(s). My dog is named Audrey Hepburn. Yes, like the actress. I love the actress, too. Audrey is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, a large name for a small dog. She’s adorable, but she smells kind of bad sometimes. My fiancé’s dog is named Tater. As inTater. She’s a pit bull / cattle dog mix. Sweet as can be, not the sharpest tool in the shed.

5. I’m getting married in February. WOOP! My fiancé is pretty much the best. I might be biased, but he’s pretty awesome. Anyone who names their dog Tater HAS to be awesome. amiright?

6. I love to run, but I’m not very good at it. I run races, I just don’t run them quickly. I’m working on this.

7. I love Kenya. I went on a mission trip to Kenya this past summer and fell in love with the country. I’m going back next year. And the year after that. And for the next 1981028 years after that. Okay, I won’t live that long, but you get the picture.
