Taylor’s Favorites

sphereWalking around the show floor this morning, I was overwhelmed with how great everything looked. I wanted to stop at every booth and learn about their new product. I did not do that for obvious reasons, but I stumbled upon the Projectiondesign booth where Pufferfish was set up. A very large projection sphere was inside and they won my vote for the favorite of the day.

Immediately interested in the product I began to ask questions to the very energetic Tim and Ben, who were happy to entertain a tradeshow rookie. They started to list off the ways in which the sphere could be used: at museums, classrooms, major events, visitor attractions, tradeshows, and concerts. Then they told me that Pufferfish created the spheres used on the Coldplay world tour in 2008.

I had to stop them, I had been to a concert on that tour and my favorite part of the show were the spheres. Having seen them in a different setting than on the tradshow floor, I felt a connection with the product. Pufferfish creates not only the hardball screens as seen on here at InfoComm , but inflatable spheres as well.  Some of the great things about the spheres is that they are interactive, versatile, provide a 360 degree projection without blind spots, and can be used for the largest events.

Since I’m in school, I quickly think of how awesome the sphere would be for educational purposes. The guys were giving me examples of ways they have been used and a globe was one of them. Any way you can make learning more fun is always a positive.  Needless to say I was extremely impressed by this product. I encourage you to check them out online at  www.pufferfishdisplays.co.uk or at InfoComm, if you’re at the show!
