Supporting Cast — 4 LED Mounting Companies to Visit at InfoComm 2024

Direct View LED is becoming more and more affordable, especially in pixel pitches of 1.2 to 1.9mm. For projects that need the most pixel density possible, there are even a few options under 0.7mm if you have the extra cash to get the technology.

Bespoke dvLED environments often include corners, curves and facets, making their installations even more complex. Given that the screen will only be as good as its alignment, the structure behind the mount is more important than ever, especially at the lower pixel pitches.

With that, I wanted to point you toward a few nominees for best supporting cast in a dvLED install.

The first nominee is Legrand AV and its TiLED product. This product has been around for quite some time, and Legrand is likely at the top of your list for standard LCD wall installations. However, the TiLED product has added more and more manufacturers to its list of supported products, earning the nomination this year. Its Z-axis adjustments can be a lifesaver, and the company came through for me in a big way on a tight schedule in a recent install. Check out TiLED at Infocomm at booth C8600.

The second nominee is also a familiar LCD screen partner, but Peerless Seamless has been creating bespoke dvLED mounts and trim kits for quite some time as well. I had some great success with the company on a project where we needed a 1.2mm production backdrop to come together perfectly on an inside corner at an odd angle. Peerless was not only able to support the install, but also provided onsite support help to assure it was pixel perfect. Peerless can be found at booth W1725.

The third nominee is a local (to me) SoCal company, AMD or Advanced Mounting & Design. I’ve had success with AMD in several projects over the years, with the company building everything from LCD touchscreen coffee tables, to video walls, large faceted curves and command and control environments. I’m almost certain AMD is not new to you, but you should go visit the company and its team at booth W2352.

Rounding out the category is a repeat nominee and pioneer in the category RP Visual Solutions. RPV has been creating custom mounting systems for decades, including rear projection, LCD video walls, articulating LCD mounts and backboxes and, yes, customized dvLED mounts. If you’ve been in the industry for more than five minutes, I’m sure you’ve heard of RPV, but I’m still sure the company would love you to stop by booth W2536 to say hi.
