Stewart Shows Silver 5D Screen Material for 2D and 3D Content
At ISE 2011, Stewart Filmscreen showcased its Silver 5D screen material. The material offers passive 3D polarization while also maintaining performance for 2D source material. And, according to Stewart, it also offers a wider viewing cone than what was previously available, as well as increased uniformity to reduce hot spotting.
The screen now features MicroPerforation, making the screen acoustically transparent so speakers can be installed behind the screen. It’s available in seamless sizes up to 40 inches by 90 inches.
The material is compatible with the AcoustiMask masking system and CineCurve, Stewart’s curved screen wall.
