Sound Devices Updates 8-Series Mixer/Recorder Line With New Features
Sound Devices announced firmware updates for its 8-Series Mixer/Recorder and Astral Wireless product lines, adding functionality requested by film, television and broadcast professionals.
The company said Version 11.0 firmware includes enhancements to the 8-Series CL-16 Linear Fader Control Surface, introducing a new waveform display and speed shuttling up to +/- 32x.
Sound Devices said the update reflects its practice of engaging directly with end users to develop new tools. Regular firmware updates have been central to keeping the 8-Series line competitive in production environments that demand flexibility and reliability.
