Sony has announced that the mocopi Pro Kit, a full-body motion capture system, is now available, with shipping starting April 3. The kit is designed for professionals in gaming, animation, virtual reality (VR) and livestreaming, providing a solution for motion tracking and content creation.

Alongside the mocopi Pro Kit, Sony is launching XYN Motion Studio, a new motion capture and editing software that enhances real-time tracking and post-production workflows.

Enhanced Motion Capture With 12-Sensor Tracking

The mocopi Pro Kit expands on Sony’s existing motion capture technology by incorporating 12 sensors for increased accuracy and fluid motion tracking. The system is designed to integrate directly with PC-based workflows through the Sensor Data Receiver for mocopi (PC dongle), allowing real-time data transmission for game developers, content creators and extended reality (XR) professionals.

When paired with XYN Motion Studio, the mocopi Pro Kit streamlines both real-time and offline motion capture, making it easier to refine and export high-quality motion data.
