Sony Announces Upcoming Release of 4K LCD Professional Picture Monitor
Sony Electronics unveiled a prototype of its new 24-inch 4K LCD professional picture monitor in Japan this week. The portable monitor offers high-grade picture quality and accurate color reproduction for 4K HDR productions designed as a reliable tool for applications such as on-set monitoring, non-linear video editing, studio wall monitoring, rack-mount monitoring of OB trucks or machine rooms.
At 4K resolution (3840×2160 pixels) and with an all-white luminance of 1000 candelas per square meter, the monitor reproduces images that are rated as HDR color-accurate. Sony says that the monitor’s wide viewing angle, 12G-SDI input and HDMI connection make it perfect for in the field and for live production needs, as well as for cinema and commercial content creation.
