Social Media Recap: Aurora Calls Out Crestron in Recent Marketing Email

If you’re a true #AVtweep or if you’re someone who frequents LinkedIn somewhat often, you may have seen the screenshot below from an email from Aurora.

Aurora calls out Crestron in recent email.

According to the email, Aurora‘s VPX 1GBPS AV-over-IP solutions claim to be the “solution for Crestron NVX lead time issues.” The email also says Aurora’s solution can perform everything Crestron’s NVX does and more at a lower cost.

To gauge the reaction from the #AVtweeps community, Gary Kayye took the conversation to LinkedIn:

Some of the comments include:

“Elephant in the room,” said Mark Coxon. “Why not market to what’s on everyone’s mind?”

“I find this appropriate,” said Scott Tiner. “They are trying to grow their market share by appealing to new customers who are frustrated. The only thing that could be debated is whether they “do more”. It can’t be debated that they are in stock or cheaper.”

“Sorry, but as a crestron employee, I truly Believe that planning is a key factor for these days (sic),” said Gal Angel. “Stock is the king. Bad things on a competitor start the conversation (sic) in a bad way. If you want to sell your (sic) products, start the conversation talking on advantages.”
