SnapAV Introduces Pakedge WA-4200 Wave 2 Indoor Access Point
SnapAV introduced the Pakedge WA-4200 4×4 Wave 2 Indoor Access Point Thursday. The new WA-4200 is designed for large, high-density residential and commercial projects, and it uses 802.11ac Wave 2 and beamforming technology for 4K and high-definition streaming applications and multiple devices simultaneously. The WA-4200 features a 4×4 MU-MIMO antenna design to deliver a maximum data rate of 2600 Mbps. With two Gigabit LAN ports and Link Aggregation, the WA-4200 integrates a standard managed Gigabit switch to improve wireless performance without the need to upgrade network switches. Similar to other WA Series models, the WA-4200 supports complete cloud configuration for multi-AP deployments with BakPak. BakPak enables dealers to remotely manage and monitor their customers’ networks from anywhere in the world using the BakPak desktop or mobile app.
The WA-4200 claims to be easy to install, featuring mounting with a template and accessory kit included. It’s available in an in-ceiling model with an in-ceiling mounting bracket available for flush installs (mounting brackets sold separately).
The Pakedge WA-4200 4×4 Wave 2 Access Point is already shipping and is $740 (800€ and 550£) and comes with a three-year warranty.
