SnapAV Adds New HDMI Over Coax Extender
Need to send HDMI all over a house that’s already pre-wired (but was wired in the 1980s or even 1990s) with Coax, not Cat5? Well, SnapAV’s new Binary Single Coax Extender (HDMI 1.3) can send HDMI and IR signals up to 400 feet via RG6 cable. Although this extender doesn’t support 3D or 480p, it does support 480i, 720p and 1080i/p at 60Hz and includes both an IR receiver and transmitter port on each end — allowing for bi-directional IR.
