Smarter Software From URC and Amber International

amberinternationalControl and home automation specialist, URC, has recently added further functionality and compatibility to its Total Control system, which now works with an increased variety of third party products and streaming services. The newly upgradable system is available through master EMEA distributor to the CI industry, Amber International.

Following on from Extra Vegetables’ recent 2-way Sonos integration module for URC Total Control, the protocol specialist, in collaboration with URC, has created further modules for 2-way control of DIRECTV, Roku, Popcorn Hour/Popbox and Dune HD. All modules are easy to install and work with URC Accelerator, requiring minimal dealer setup. They seamlessly connect to Total Control, displaying customised graphics on URC touchpanels, remote controls and iOS Apps straight out of the box.

In addition, the URC Total Control App is now fully compatible with iOS7, the latest operating system for iDevices. This ensures that whatever version of Apple software the customer is using, they can always stay connected and be in complete control of their system.

URC Total Control is now also compatible with a wide range of third party IP and analogue cameras, from manufacturers such as Wirepath Surveillance, IC Realtime, Panasonic and Axis. With most fixed and PTZ cameras supported.

“The software developments made by URC demonstrate its commitment to listening to its customers,” comments Cees van Wendel de Joode, Sales Manager for Amber International. “By providing integration for an ever increasing range of third party products and services, the company is creating a completely integrated control solution, with no compatibility issues and no headaches for the customer or installer.”
